It’s 11 Days until Election Day. Let the Count Down Begin!

What you can do TODAY:

DAY 11 --Friday October 24:

1) DONATE YOUR TIME: Take a look at the Election Day Count Down and decide what activities you can signup for.

2) DONATE: Make a contribution to the Democratic Party of Santa Barbara County. Online: www.sbdemocrats.org or by mail: Democratic Central Cmte., P.O. Box 22435, Santa Barbara CA 93121-2435. We will be recognizing contributors on Election Night!

THE COUNT DOWN:

DAY 10 --Saturday October 25:

Can you help canvass part of a walkable precinct for a couple of hours on Saturday October 25? We're finishing up our canvassing in the Santa Barbara area this weekend, promoting the entire Democratic slate in Goleta, "Noleta," Santa Barbara and Carpinteria. To sign up or for more information, email Volunteer Coordinator Nancy Tubiolo at nasmitub@hotmail.com or leave a message for her at HQ, 965-8030. We meet at the HQ For Change, 430 Chapala St (at Haley) at 9:00 am on Saturday, for training and to match you up with precinct captains who need some help finishing up some streets in their precincts.

DAY 9 --Sunday October 26:

Precinct Walk For State Senate Candidate Hannah-Beth Jackson (www.Jackson4senate.com). Meet at 3:00 pm at the HQ For Change at 430 Chapala St. to help Hannah-Beth Jackson win! Call Elena at 617-0390 to RSVP.

Phonebank with the Democratic Party from 12:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Call 965-8030 and ask to be put on the Phone Bank calendar. Meet at the HQ For Change at 430 Chapala St.

DAY 8 --Monday October 27:

Democratic Party data entry during the day and phonebanking in the evening from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. Call 965-8030 and ask to be put on the Phone Bank calendar! Meet at the HQ For Change at 430 Chapala St.

DAY 7 --Tuesday October 28:

GET OUT THE VOTE (GOTV)ACTIVITIES

Here's The Schedule For The Final Days Before The Election:

DAY 3--Saturday November 1

We will be targeting young and newly registered voters, as well as others, in a morning of canvassing. Join Lois Capps, Salud Carbajal, Janet Wolf and other elected officials as we walk our neighborhoods. At 8:30 am we will rally with our local candidates at the HQ For Change (430 Chapala St.) to be followed by precinct canvassing.

At 3:00 pm there will be training for Election Day activities at the HQ For Change at 430 Chapala St.

DAY 2 --Sunday November 2

Help deliver doorhangers, this time to the voters who go to the polls. Pick up a packet of doorhangers at HQ any time between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm. Another training for Election Day activities will be held at 12:00 pm on Sunday at the HQ For Change at 430 Chapala St.

DAY 1 --Monday November

We will finish up delivering doorhangers between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm.

The final training for Election Day will be at 5:30 pm at the HQ For Change at 430 Chapala St.

ELECTION DAY!!!!! November 4

We need as many of you as possible to give whatever time you have between 6:00 am. and 8:00 pm for Election Day. The Democratic Party of Santa Barbara is asking for three things:

(1) Can you take a full day or half day shift in a precinct, starting at 6:00 am delivering doorhangers and working the rest of shift knocking on doors, getting voters to the poll, and reporting your poll check numbers to the HQ For Change?

(2) If you can't take time off work, can you deliver doorhangers before you go to work?

(3) Can you help phonebank from any one of four locations: HQ For Change (430 Chapala St.); 1722 State St.; Capps HQ (1920 De La Vina St., near Mission); or Farr HQ (81 David Love Pl. in Goleta)?
